Account & login
Swappr runs in your browser — there is nothing to install. You sign in with the email address and password you used to sign up. If you can't get in, use "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen, and email us if you're still stuck.
How swapping works
Swappr is skill-for-skill first: you trade something you can do for something you need — plumbing for HVAC work, electrical for drywall repair. Tokens exist only to even out a trade when the two sides aren't a clean match. Every swap is broken into milestones you both approve. When a swap includes tokens, those tokens are held in escrow until the milestones are approved, so nobody is left chasing anyone.
What are tokens, and can I cash them out?
No — tokens cannot be cashed out, transferred to another member, or converted back to money. They only exist inside Swappr, to balance uneven trades and to buy boosts. You earn them by completing swaps, or you can buy a pack if you'd rather top up. They have no cash value outside the app.
What does Swappr cost?
Joining, browsing, posting and trading are free. There is one fee: when a swap settles in tokens, 8% is taken from the tokens the provider receives. A straight skill-for-skill swap with no tokens involved has no fee at all. Swappr Pro waives that 8% on swaps where you're the one being paid.
What is a boost?
A boost puts one of your listings at the top of search and nearby results for 24 hours. It costs 10 tokens, from your own listing's page.
Buying tokens or Swappr Pro
Purchases are made on getswappr.com and are processed by our payment provider on behalf of Thornline Labs LLC. Your tokens and Pro status are tied to your account, so signing in on any device brings them with you — there is nothing to "restore". If a purchase hasn't shown up in your wallet within a few minutes, email us with the date and amount and we'll sort it out.
Cancelling Swappr Pro or asking for a refund
Email us at hello@thornlinelabs.com and we will cancel your subscription — no phone call, no retention script. Include the email address on your account. We'll confirm by reply, and your Pro features stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for. If something was charged in error, tell us what happened and we'll make it right.
What if a swap goes wrong?
Open the swap and file a dispute. Any tokens in escrow stay held — they are not released to either side — until the dispute is resolved. If something falls outside that flow, email us and a human will look at it.
There's nothing listed near me
That's the honest situation in most areas right now — Swappr is new, and a trade marketplace only works once enough people in the same area are on it. You can still post: your listing is what the next person searching your area finds. You can also leave your email on the Swappr home page and we'll tell you when listings start showing up nearby.
Data & privacy
Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We never sell your data. You can download a full copy of your data at any time from your Profile.
Deleting your account
Go to Profile and choose "Delete my account". You'll be asked to confirm, and you'll see exactly what gets removed. You can't delete while you have an open swap or an unresolved dispute — finish or cancel those first.
